Laure Claire Foucher was an assistant in the
Utica, New York Public Library system. The author collected several
international folktales in her collection Stories to Read or Tell from Fairy
Tales and Folklore, which was published in 1911. The stories for children
includes folk tales from Japan, Germany, Ireland and Russia.
